Dr Kevin Chai is currently working in the Health Economics and Data Analytics (HEDA) group within the School of Population Health, Curtin University. Kevin’s role involves providing data, computing, analytics and machine learning/artificial intelligence expertise in projects with researchers and industry partners. Kevin completed a PhD in computer science at Curtin University, worked as a Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales in the Centre for Health Informatics developing machine learning and natural language processing models to analyse large medical datasets and as a Data Scientist at Curtin University on developing predictive models. Kevin has research interests and experience in machine learning/artificial intelligence and its application to solving important problems in domains such as health, medicine, education, science, engineering, the humanities and many other diverse areas of research.
